Join us for an OPC Book Night featuring Steve Fainaru on Monday, December 1. A reception begins at 6 p.m. and the talk at 6:30 p.m. Fainaru will discuss his book Big Boy Rules, a shocking expose of the parallel mercenary army on the ground in Iraq.
Fainaru won the OPC 2007 Hal Boyle Award for best newspaper reporting from abroad for this very story “The Private Armies of Iraq” in The Washington Post. He also won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting.
