LONDON: Among the Ted Kennedy obituaries, the Telegraph was one of the few newspapers to report that he once worked as a wire service reporter.
The Telegraph wrote: “After graduating [from Harvard] in 1955 with a degree in History and Government, Kennedy continued his studies at the International Law Institute at The Hague, worked as a reporter for the International News Service, and finally, in 1959, achieved an LL.B from the University of Virginia Law School.”
Ted’s brother, former President John Kennedy, also worked for INS shortly after U.S. Navy service during World War II as did brother Robert Kennedy. John reported the founding of the U.N. and Winston Churchill’s fall from power.
