FCCC Releases Grim Report on Working Conditions for Foreign Correspondents in China

The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China has issued findings on how the Chinese government is cracking down on Western media.

The report, “Position Paper on Working Conditions for Foreign Correspondents in China,” gives deep insight into an ongoing campaign to prevent foreign reporters from doing their jobs.

The report’s authors paint a troubling picture of worsening conditions for foreign journalists and the staff, with officials intimidating and harassing correspondents, Chinese news assistants and even their sources.

The report was released during the China Hands Reunion at Club Quarters on Friday afternoon.
