Fixers: Unsung Heroes of Reporting

From Poynter: The Martin Adler Prize goes to freelancers, including photographers, fixers and translators, who have played a key role in a major story. This year’s winners are two Libyan fixers, Suliman Ali Zway and Osama Alfitory, construction workers “who worked with some of the world’s most established foreign correspondents during the country’s tumultuous revolution,” writes Joel Gunter. Jon Lee Anderson partly funded their trip to London to receive the award.
