Video Memoir: OPC Member John Morris Recounts Career Highlights

In the third installment of our interview archive series, John Morris talks about his long career as a photo journalist, including his work for Life magazine during World War II.

Morris edited the photographs of Robert Capa during the D-Day invasion in 1944.

Former OPC Executive Director Sonya Fry visited Morris in Bayeux, France during an event surrounding a book that contains many of his own photos. The book was created in collaboration with Robert Pledge, photo editor of Contact Press Images. A video of that visit is also available on our site.

Morris later worked for a range of publications, including the Ladies’ Home Journal, the Washington Post, The New York Times and National Geographic

Check the OPC website in the weeks ahead for more interviews with veteran OPC members.
